          Troubleshooting

      Review the List of Solutions below.


If you have any issues while generating PDFs, such as:

     Goes directly to the printer
     PDF is not saving
     Error messages
     The Schubec PDF Plugin dialog box does not appear

Solution:

Install the "E-Mail Fix" package.

NOTE: Program versions 8.6 and 8.7 (only) do NOT require the E-Mail fix.

The download link for the E-Mail Fix can be found under
"Free 3rd Party Software" at the bottom of our Download Page.

After installation is finished,
you must Restart the program for the changes to take effect.

    You may have to Exit and Open the program more than one time

Consider      Close all open programs and try Restarting each computer.

When the existing PDF
    Will not open
    The PDF is empty when open
    Gives a Message    "Can't open this file / Open with..."

Solution:

Change the PDF title (File Name)

Instructions

    Single-click the existing Title box under the Icon (highlights the Title)
    Single-click the Title box again
    Add the extension .PDF at the end of the Title
    or
    Delete the title and Re-name it with .PDF at the end of the title.

Alternatively

    Right-click the File
    Select      Rename

Note:   File Name      must end in .pdf  (the dot "." is required)
           This can be done by either the sender or the recipient.

How to make / save a PDF
Instructions

Put the record on-screen that you want to save as a PDF.

Click the program's (Email - PDF) button (Yellow Menu Bar)
     Follow the instructions, as needed.

Clicking the (Generate) button
     should bring up the Schubec Plugin dialog box.

Note: You have two (2) selections to make:

Location
     Where you want to save the file      Save In (Location)

Name the File
     File Name      must end in .pdf  (the dot "." is required)
     (Delete the existing file name      "Output")

Save:
     Click the (Save) button to save the document in the location that you chose.

Causes:      That require the "E-Mail Fix" package.

NOTE: Program versions 8.6 and 8.7 (only) do NOT require the E-Mail fix.

When the program is:
     Copied to a different computer
     Installed on a Network (shared Folder), External Drive, or other device
     Upgraded to Windows 10 or later
     If you delete or uninstall any of the PDF components

The PDF components (Schubec and Ghostscript) do not copy.
     When these PDF components are not installed:
     You will not be able to generate an internal PDF
     You will receive error messages

    It does not affect Printing or other program functions.

Each computer using the program,
     including the network server, will require the E-Mail Fix.
